The 4 types of bone cells are osteocytes, osteoclasts, osteoblasts and osteoprogenitors.

Osteocytes- Maintains metabolism and participates with nutrient/waste exchange in the blood

Osteoclasts- Bone cells that removes bone tissue by removing matrix
Osteoblasts- Bone building cells that are responsible for the mineralization of matrix.

Osteoprogenitors- Bone cell that differentiates into an osteoblast.
